The EU’s climate bank
The European Investment Bank is one of the world’s main financers of climate action. The decade 2021-2030 is critical to address our planet's climate and environment emergency. Outside the European Union, UK and EFTA, the EIB provided €7.2 billion of financing in 2021. The EU bank is active in more than 160 countries worldwide and is a key partner of Team Europe.
Since 1958, the EIB has invested more than €1.5 trillion in more than 14,400 projects outside the European Union.
